The Hobbie

Scott always wants to find a hobbie he can drown himself in. In the past years he has found a few. First it was kites, the beach, quads, and as of late it is paragliding. He loves it and he and his friend Kevin are taking lessons in San Diego. They havn't been able to go as often as they would like, but in the last month or so they have been 3 times. So they have gotten a lot of flying in. He loves it! To hear him tell about it he would say it is a spiritual experience.
This past Friday they went down and they took Carter with them. Carter was the photographer and took some good pictures. I thought I would add some here. I wish the captions would come up on the picture, but they don't so I'll try to add them.

Scott Catchin' air!

Easter again

I don't know how to edit the first Easter post and there are things I needed to add, like what the pictures are... Most are self explainatory, but I just thought I'd add.
The picture just posted is of the "fort" that is an ongoing project the kids work on every time they go up to the cabin. The boys love this place and insisted on sleeping out in it several nights. The last day we were there they (Nathan (nephew) and Jimi(neighbor) added a roof to the fort. They have a great time there shooting air soft at each other (which I am not thrilled about) and playing other various boy (and I guess you could include "girl") games.
The pictures from the first easter post are just the kids coloring eggs, the sideways one is of course Brodric, being cute. Kendahl and Rachel (neighbor) are the girls who are too big to be hunting for Easter eggs, and let see... what else did I add??? I don't remember. Maybe someday I will learn how to edit a post!

Easter at the Cabin

So I hope I have added these pictures right. We'll see.
We spent Easter at our cabin for the second year in a row! Can I just say that it is awesome!! When the crowds of people are there, I am not such a trooper, but I try. The kids love being with their cousins and just being in the outdoors and the beautiful weather!! Mom's love being able to let the kids do whatever they want (within reason...) and that's nice! We did Easter Bunny stuff on Saturday and then went to church in Williams on Sunday. Everyone was there, my Grandma Harris, my parents, Mel's family, my family, Staci's family, Stephanie's family and a few others, namely my neice Leah and my neighbors, Jimi and Rachel.
We even went to "Mass" in Williams on Saturday night because I promised Jimi and Rachel's mom I would make sure they made it to Easter Mass. That was interesting.
Good Times!

All about US up to now

Obviously I'm the best blogger ever, as seen by all my many posts in 2008. So just a little bit and you should all be caught up! You already saw the ducks and the green pool, and since spring is coming we are doing lots of yard work, which includes that green pool. I have been out weeding and mowing and trying to get the grass too look green again. I am going to plant flower sometime soon, Scott assures me that he will run a drip line so they don't die. Amazingly enough the trees that never got the drip run to them last year are still alive! I'm happy about that! Nothing gets enough water if the drip isn't on! Scott wants to do a garden, but I don't know if I have energy for it with all the other projects we have going on right now. I guess we'll see. Maybe if he runs another drip line!!!

We are still working on the new garage project that has taken us WAY too long! It should seriously be done within a few days! I can't wait to be able to use it! The color coat of the stucco didn't turn out as dark as I wanted it to, I'll put pictures up so you can see, I just wanted to wait till the doors were on.

Scott works too much and I have hardly been working at all. I really should get into the office every once in a while! I wonder what Lori (our office miracle worker) thinks of me as of late! I've abandoned her. Oh well, it's been nice and I have been working on all this house stuff. We are nearing the beginning of another house project. We are going to do a small addition and a kitchen/ master bath remodel. We are excited and stressed at the same time about that. I would like to just get started.

The kids have all begun taking piano lessons. From the 14 year old to the 4 year old! It's fun and everyone of them really likes it! Carter thought that for sure he wouldn't, but secretly he does. Don't ask him to admit it, cause he never would.

The little ones stopped doing gymnastics because I really didn't like the coaches. It's too bad too because they loved it. I wish there was another place up here! I am going to have to look into it. Brodric said just today that he would like to do it again.

Kendahl is swimming for the High School swim team!!! I am so proud of her. She has swum (is that a word?)off and on through the years, but has never competed. Today we went to her second meet and she did great! She swam the 100 free, the 500 free and a 50 free for a relay. It was great! She loves it and has always loved being in the water. I'm glad she enjoys it!

For Easter we are going to Williams to the cabin! We should have a blast there! Last time we were there it snowed a foot. I don't think we will have that excitment, but it will still be great! I'll definately post pictures of that.

Ok, so this is like a Christmas letter, but I thought I better get caught up on us so I can continue! Hopefully I'll post sooner than later next time. I should get the hang of this soon wouldn't you think?

Ducks!

We had visitors this past weekend.
Ducks landed in our very green pool and made home for a day! It was kinda cool and exciting for us! Unusual for sure to see ducks around here! We began cleaning the pool the week! No more lake for the ducks I guess, but it really needed to be cleaned and the warm weather is coming so we're getting excited to use it!
