It's Sunday again (still)

It's been a much longer day and I thought I would get to post on here before 11:30 at night, but that's how the day has gone! It was a really good Sunday. Even Sunday School ended up to be a good experience... If you really know me, you know I'm not too hot on SS, but today the teacher (a fill in) was really awesome!
My lesson in YW went well, even though it was on doctinal stuff. If you know me then you also know that's quite an amazing statement considering I don't like to delve into the deep doctrine stuff. But the lesson was better than a lot of lessons I give, I think. I hope the girls came out with something from it. I took a picture of my class...

From left to right, the first beautiful girl is of course, Kendahl, then if you thought the next girl looked sweet, you'd be right. If were thinking the middle girl looked troubled, you'd be right, and yes, the next one looks like she wants to kill you and she does and the one next to her is a goffy as she looks. The older one on the end isn't a girl at all, but of course you knew that. The one on the floor, yep, nice girl! That's them. There's one more who's not there and never has been, but I love her anyway!!!

We had Scott's parents over tonight for dinner. (I promise not to put pictures of food up this time!) It's becoming a ritual that we are sad to say will be ending very soon! They are not really going to be available anymore because they are traveling to see family and then prepairing for their mission! We are really happy for them and can't wait for them to get their call! I think it's awesome that they are going to go on a mission. I should of put a picture of them up, but when they get their call I will!

This past week was super busy, Brodric got shots, physical, new birth cert. from the county and then finally got regerstered for Kindergarten! Yay! He is so excited! Here's the big day..

Isn't he cute????!!!! I know! I love him. His kindergarten teacher is so lucky to get him for the whole day next year!

So, are you wondering how I did on my garden this Saturday? Well, I didn't get it planted yet, but... I put three wheel barrels full of ferterlizer in it and turned the whole thing again! It is ready for planting and maybe tomorrow night for family night we can do it! It is baby steps sometimes.

The other day blogspot wouldn't let me post pictures of the garage and nothing got done on it over the weekend so I'll post them now because the website seems to be cooperating.

these are the shelves we worked so hard on. There are still 6 more units to go! We cleaned, sanded and are now painting them. I had before pictures, but I can't find them. Oh well.

This is the other front corner. Those are the almost-finished shelves, waiting to be done.

And this is my exercize area. I have a lot more flooring (which is cool by the way) and it will be bigger when it's finished. The US government is buying me a elliptical trainer machiene, so that's will be awesome!

And this is how the front looks now. Nice huh, but it needs concerete. All in due time! I'm getting used to waiting for things!

So, it's late and I'm tired and I think I got most stuff put on this huge blog that I wanted to. Now it's too big for anyone to have time to read. Oh well. I'ts been a good week.

Before I go I have to put a shout out to a blog that I have been a part of. It's the "angie in shape" which you will find in my other cool blogs section. I have been trying to be "more healthy" and it's offically been 8 days with out a diet coke or a diet Dr. Pepper. Huge accomplishment! And can I just say that I love the stuff, but I'm glad I'm off it and the ice water has been wonderful! I've been working on other stuff too, and I feel pretty good about it! yay me...

K, this is really all...
Signing off!

if you chance to meet a frown

Photobucket

I was looking for a frowny face to put on here to add a picture of my garden, and write a little note of how sad I am that I havn't gotten more done on my garden but then I went out side to take a picture of it and my whole outlook changed...
It is such a beautiful day outside, the weather is great, the sun is beautiful and it is not too hot and not too cold.
Then I decided to take a picture of our new garage. It took us forever to get it, and I wish we were utilizing it more fully, but dang, we have a huge garage! It made me so happy!
So after that I had to find a good smiley face to put here. I liked this one because it has the frowns, cause things can seem like a bummer, but then the smile shines through cause things aren't really too bad! Cheesy huh??? Oh well, it's true!

So here's my poor little garden that I hope to grow veggies in some day soon.

maybe I'll plant tomorrow.....

Rachel Ray, YUM, Yard House Artichokes, Sunday Dinner

I LOVE the roasted artichokes from Yard House Resturant! So since I think I am Rachel Ray lately, we tried to make them tonight... They look fancy huh? We had them with baked pork chops. Is your mouth watering yet? I know, I know... So they turned out... um... pretty good! Not quite as good as Yard House, but next time I assure you they will be even better! Who has never eaten at Yard House? Bummer for you!

The Aftermath! YUM dinner!

Cute kids after dinner!

Talented Kids

We had a ward talent show on Friday night that was just great! It had funny, serious, silly and totally talented acts in it. My kids were all set to preform before Clara Baillie got nervous and begged me through her tears, saying, "I cant DOOOOO it!" So everyone except Baillie was in it. These aren't the best picts, but they are all I have. These kids were brave and awesome all at the same time!

Brodric is so serious when he plays for people. He played "Old Macdonald had a song" He was just a serious as could be! He is SOOOOO cute! Oh, notice he had no music, I had the book but he was adimate that he did NOT want to use it cause he has it memorized...

Carter played "In the Hall of the Mountain King" He is a great piano player and is even going to be better the longer he does it! They have all only been taking piano for 3 months but Carter is really talented and has a GREAT ear for music. He sits down and picks out the notes to video game songs and makes great music!!! He is awesome!

Kendahl wanted to do a song by Hannah Montanna but she couldn't find it on karaoke version. So we thought she wasn't going to do anything, but then while we were driving there she informed us she had another song to do. She sang, "I won't say I'm in love" from Hercules. She was awesome! Since she hadn't practiced it nearly at all, she had a few spots she felt akward, but it really was a good performance!!!!

Gotta love my kids!

Me and Him

This is Scott and I at the "Mormon Prom" last weekend, being chaperones. We got our picture taken like the kids did... We have to have a "Mormon Prom" here because the school prom's are too out of control to attend!!! Scarry huh. But it turned out SO cute! Scott was the muscles behind the decorating party. He was the only person in the Stake YM Presidency who helped set up all day long last Saturday! The Stake YW Presidency now loves him!!! They think he is the best!
Just sharing a pict. of US.

41

It was my birthday today. It was an interesting day. Brodric and I spent the morning together just hanging out. I had lots of people bring things by, like Suzie Ferris brought home made bread. That made Brodric and I happy... Then I got a fruit basket from the girls at the office. I guess everyone at work actually. It was awesome. Bricky and I had a feast. Then Karen brought a neat book and potted tulips and a cake!!! What an awesome friend! I had a cake baked for my birthday! Our neighbor and her girls brought a gift of secnted stick things, that was thoughtful! And then Deanna Pedersen brought an amazing looking carmeled apple! I can't wait to get a bite of it tomorrow! Tons of my family called me and that was very cool too. It ended up to be a really nice day. Scott and I got to go to dinner and talk a bit and that was nice too.
Here are some pictures of the afternoon with Brodric and I after we ate bread and we got to munch on fruit! And then my great cake!
Brodric is goofy!
He has a chocolate face from chocolate strawberries.
I'm over 40, don't I look thrilled? Actually it started out a rocky morning. I'm more like tired or something. But Brodric had to take pictures.
What a great fruit basket
This was after we were sufficently full on warm bread and fruit. But he wasn't really that mellow, he was copying me!
My little party with my great cake! Carter wants to blow the candles with me. Silly kid.

We can't wait!

This weekend we had our first pool experience for the year! After cleaning the pool forever Scott decided to heat up the spa. Of course the kids took advantage! It ended up a contest for who could get in the pool, and then who could do it the longes and so on! Kendahl won! She always does! Baillie was at a friends house and won't let me forget that she hasn't gone swimming yet! She's not happy with us.

This pict is of Bricky, don't you love the pink goggles

Also Bricky, already a fish!?

And everyone else...

We obviously can't wait till summer!
